Photos of Research Communication
Shanghai, 1996

Some members of our laboratory and others visited China for research communication on qigong and anomalous somatic functions.
Program: Research Exchange of Anomalous Somatic Functions
Date: November 17-30, 1996.
City: Shanghai, Beijing.

We visited the Qigong Institute of Shanghai Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

We took some units for experiments with Chinese researchers.
These photography show an experiment on external qi effects. A qigong doctor emits external qi to a patient as a receiver. Electrodes of EEG are attached on their heads.
Receiver inserts his hands into a metal box which is a magnetic shield box. Sensors for magnetism are set in the box for purpose of measurement of anomalous strong magnetic caused by receiver's hands. Receiver's hands and sensors are monitored by a video camera with swan neck on the box, and recorded by a video recorder.

We met some of major researchers in Shanghai.
