Abstract:
As workplaces have more and more person sitting at computers, the cases of bad posture are increasing, and with that, the risk of lumbago is increasing. In previous studies, it became clear that poor walking attitude, such as a leg power difference between the left foot and the right foot and the occurrence of bowlegs, is a cause of lumbago. When the posture is good, a person can walk efficiently and there will not be any low back pain. However, when a person suffers from bowlegs, the force is dispersed in the lateral direction, resulting in inefficient walking, and it is thought that the load derived from this is the cause of lumbago. This research was done from the viewpoint of walking training, and the development of a walking training system that improves walking posture and corrects for bowlegs, etc. and contributes to mitigation of lumbago was studied.

Abstract:
Moderate stress for people is said to raise efficiency in work and study, but allowable stress strength depends on individuals who have their own differences and it depends on the stress type. Stress has often been considered to be bad as pointed out in the etiology of stress many years ago. However, in a modern society that cannot escape from various stressors, the big question is how to get along with a stressor and still lead a healthy life. In this study, the biological response to various stressors was measured over time through fingertip pulse waves, and the changes of the stressor appearance in each subject were examined by wavelet analysis on the RR interval of these fingertip pulse waves.

Establishing a Symbiotic Relationship between the Japanese and Deer

Shuichi HASHIZUME

 Idea-Creating Lab
Abstract:
Since ancient times, the Japanese have always had love for and a noble impression of deer; they worshiped deer as messengers and beasts of the gods. However, today, about 400,000 deer are killed every year as animals destructive to agricultural and forestry activities. Furthermore, almost all the dead deer turn into garbage to be disposed of and are not used as natural resources. It is necessary to search for a value in eating venison and in using deerskin and deer velvet. As the Japanese have had deep and strong relationships with deer for a long time, we should live together in symbiosis with deer today. In this presentation, I report the present-day condition of relationships between the people and deer, focusing on the value of using deer as a natural resource in New Zealand, Taiwan, and Mongolia. Next, I discuss how to establish a symbiotic relationship between the Japanese and deer.

Abstract:

We are scientifically studying the unexplained phenomenon of the pyramidal structure (PS) using a biosensor (edible cucumber sections). As a result of our research so far, it has become clear that delayed non-contact effects could be detected only under the condition that the meditator meditated inside the PS to the biosensor placed at the PS vertex [1]. One experiment consisted of a meditation experiment with a meditator inside the PS and a post-meditation experiment after the meditator left the PS. In the meditation experiment, 30 minutes of meditation was done as 3 sets in the morning and 3 sets in the afternoon. There was a 10 minute break between the sets, and 3 sets were taken as one experimental unit. The time when the first set of the morning meditation started was taken as the reference time. A post-meditation experiment was conducted with 3 sets as one experimental unit after a certain period of time (5 hours, 20 hours, 2.5 days, 6.5 days, 11 days, 20 days) from the reference time. The non-contact effect at each time was obtained from the average value of 3 sets. Ultimately, the non-contact effect at each time is the average value of all experiments (maximum: n = 12). We are currently attempting to detect the non-contact effect when there is no meditator inside the PS, that is, the PS exists alone. The reason for this is that there is a possibility that the non-contact effect fluctuates periodically with time at the PS vertex. In previous studies, the non-contact effect by the PS alone could not be detected. We considered that the non-contact effect of each time was obtained from the average of 3 sets and the average of all experiments, so that the periodic change disappeared and became zero within the range of error. In order to demonstrate the periodic non-contact effect of the PS itself, we first need to understand the characteristics of gas release linked to the biological reaction rhythm of the biosensor cucumber. This time we will present a part of the temporal fluctuation characteristics of the gas concentration released from the cucumber sections.

Abstract:
Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) is used as a clinically convenient application to evaluate pathophysiology in mood disorders. Modified electroconvulsive therapy (m-ECT) is used as one choice of the treatment for severe depression and treatment-resistant depression, but to our knowledge, few studies have investigated the m-ECT effect on cerebral function. Aim: We intended to investigate the therapeutic effect of m-ECT for mood disorders by NIRS. Methods: Based on the approved protocol by the ethics committee, fronto-temporal activity of 13 patients with mood disorders were evaluated during a verbal fluency procedure before and after m-ECT with NIRS. After a complete explanation of the study, written informed consent was obtained from all subjects. Patients with mood disorder were classified into one group with 6 depression patterns (D-pattern group) and a second group with 7 manic-depressive patterns (MDI-pattern group) by the frontal lobe mean oxy-hemoglobin pattern based on a previous NIRS study (Takizawa et al., 2014). Results: Depressed state in all 13 subjects was mitigated after m-ECT. Temporal lobe activity in both D-pattern group and MDI-pattern group significantly increased after m-ECT compared to before m-ECT. Frontal lobe activity in the MDI-pattern group was much improved after m-ECT compared to frontal lobe activity in the D-pattern group. In the MDI-pattern group, the mean of the frontal lobe activity after m-ECT was significantly greater than before m-ECT at the bilateral middle frontal region and the left orbitofrontal region. Conclusion: Our results suggest that temporal lobe activity increases in both D-pattern group and MDI-pattern group, but the frontal lobe activity increases only in MDI pattern group during the verbal fluency task as seen by NIRS after m-ECT accompanied by mitigation of the depressive state.

Discussion of Symptoms in Clinical Cases with “Fire Therapy (Karma Cleansing)”, the Secret Method of Huangdi Neijing, and Relationship with Karma

Mai ASAHI

Abstract:
Previously in Japan, Ekiken Kaibara of the Kuroda feudal clan compiled the Yojo Kun based on the Huangdi Neijing, the oldest medical textbook in China. In modern times, the Yojo Kun, which is a highly practical regimen, can be understood in terms of modern medicine. Currently, the idea of “healing pre-symptomatic diseases” has come to be incorporated in modern medical care in Japan. The Huangdi Neijing is basically focused on curing pre-symptomatic diseases. However, it is unclear as to what happened to that secret art. Incidentally, this secret art is called a secret method in China, and it has been practically passed down and is considered to be effective for preventing and improving various diseases. Through being linked to fate, Ekiken Kaibara was initiated into the fire therapy for the first time as a Japanese person and then he introduced it into Japan. Over time, fire therapy further evolved from the field of incinerating factors of illness. The negative energy called karma in the profoundness of life was extracted and its true form was made manifest. As a result, there were some instances in which refractory symptoms could be completely healed. Here, I will report on unique phenomena based on various clinical cases.

Abstract:
In the method, Grief Care Science (GCS therapy®), which I am recently carrying out as my life work, it is easy for someone to talk to "the deceased" by sensing energy after death, and this makes it different from conventional grief care methods.  When someone is lost due to unexpected or traumatic events, persons who continue to live will have difficulties in their daily life as they feel the sense of large loss and sorrow. For those persons, I recommend "healing science", that is the Grief Care Science (GCS therapy®).  Especially mothers who have experienced the death of their children or prenatal fetuses blame themselves continuously and cause worry to the people around them. For those who are suffering from such painful feelings, I hope that this Grief Care Science (GCS therapy®) which can inform persons of even "the cause of the death" will be utilized as a new healing science for medical sights as well.

Abstract:
The 22 and a half years of progress for the International Society of Life Information Science (ISLIS) and the promotion of “Human Potential Science” since the Society’s foundation in 1995 are reviewed here. We commemorated the 20th Anniversary of the Founding of the ISLIS in 2015. ISLIS has sought and continues to seek the realization of the paradigm shift from material-oriented science and technology to a new paradigm including the consciousness, spirit and mind through research based on empirical and positive scientific methodologies, and consequently, to promote the development of health, social welfare, and education as well as social and personal peace of mind, and to contribute to the making of a peaceful world, at one with nature. Since the foundation of ISLIS, 43 Life Information Science Symposia have been held and issues of the Journal of International Society of Life Information Science (Journal of ISLIS), totaling more than 6,100 pages of research papers and reports, have been published regularly twice a year. ISLIS held the “Human Potential Science International Forum” in Chiba, Japan in 2002, the “International Conference on Mind Body Science” in Seoul, Korea in 2004 and the “7th Psi Meeting” in August 2011 co-sponsored by ISLIS and the Facludades Integradas Espirita (Curitiba, Brazil). ISLIS published the book Human Potential Science in 2004. Existence of many anomalous phenomena has been proved scientifically. However, principles of all the world’s anomalous phenomena have not been clarified yet. More scientific studies about them are needed. The 43rd Symposium was held on March 18-19, 2017 at Omori Hospital, Toho University, Japan, and the 45th Symposium will again be held there on March 10-11, 2018. The 44th Symposium in summer 2017 was held on August 25-28, 2017 in a camp format in Izu-Nagaoka Hot Spring, Japan. ISLIS has a worldwide presence with 11 International Information Centers and about 190 members in 15 countries. But this sentence is rather obvious since March 2018 is 22.5 years since the 1995 founding. (you could just as easily make a sentence about the 5th anniversary or the 10th anniversary or the 15th anniversary). I recommend you cut this in the abstract, because the abstract should be short and focus on new information (45th symposium)You added about 100 pages of research/symposia abstracts in the 2 issues of 2017, I increase the number here.  I got this from your homepage.

Medical Effects of Hot Spring ~Focused on Fangotherapy~

Kenji SUGIMORI

Toho University Faculty of Medicine
Abstract:
Prior to the development of Western medicine in Japan, hot springs were widely loved and used by citizens as a treatment of diseases. The medical use of hot spring water was reduced after western medicine was introduced in Japan, and hot springs came to be used for recreational purposes mainly. However, in Europe, Russia, etc., most hot springs were used for medical purposes, medical and scientific research on hot springs was conducted, and academic societies relating to it were held as well. We launched a project to introduce Fangotherapy, that was actively being carried out in Europe, as a medical use of hot springs in Japan, but this time, we will mainly explain about the usefulness and medical use of hot springs.

All of us are mortal. Therefore, we are responsible for investigating “my own death” from the first-person perspective. Fifteen years ago, I started an academic meeting entitled “Conference for thanatology as humanities”, to develop studies about the first-person death, based on the humanities. Recently I have written a book with several collaborators entitled Enigma of My Own Death: Thanatology as Humanities (Tokyo: Shunjusha, 2017), the content of which I will briefly introduce in this lecture as my first aim. The second aim here is to present a method of exercise for finding not “human death in general” but “my own death” as an enigma.

Abstract:
We are studying the unexplained phenomena of the pyramidal structure (PS). Until now, we have conducted experiments to examine whether biosensors (cucumber sections) placed at the PS vertex are affected by a person meditating inside the PS. Conditions related to meditation are as follows. 1. Meditation was done inside the PS. 2. All meditation was done by the co-researcher Masamichi Sakamoto. 3. The meditation time was 30 minutes. Meditation was done three times in the morning and three times in the afternoon. 4. Hemi-Sync® meditation was done. 5. During meditation, the meditator did not give consciousness to the biosensor placed at the PS vertex. The meditator and the biosensor were not in contact with each other. Therefore, the influence on the biosensor would be a non-contact effect. Measurement of the non-contact effect was made by measuring the concentration of gas released from cut cucumber sections. As a result of the research, we made the following three discoveries. 1. The non-contact effect on the biosensor placed at the PS vertex was different between when the meditator was present inside the PS and when he was not (p=3.13×10-10) [1]. 2. No non-contact effect was detected when the meditator was present inside the PS, but it was detected for about 10 days after the meditator was no longer inside the PS “the delayed non-contact effect” (p=3.51×10-6) [2]. 3. The delayed non-contact effect only occurred under the condition that the meditator was inside the PS. And it did not occur under other conditions. (p=2.19×10-4) [3,4]. An unexplained phenomenon of the PS was caused by the meditator being inside the PS. Therefore, we concluded that the PS is a type of conversion device that converts meditator energy, which is difficult to detect with a biosensor, to detectable energy. The energy of the meditator and the energy that exerts the non-contact effect on the biosensor are unexplained energy in modern science, but we have demonstrated its existence.

Proposal of Tongue Exercise "Happy Tongue Exercise" for Ability Development --- Aiming Also at the Effects of Anti-Aging, and the Effect for Dementia, Aspiration, and Developmental Disorder ---

    Masahiro KURITA
    Gunma Paz University
    Abstract:
The ability development method SRS (Super-Reading System) is a system of mental and physical ability development that the author proposed in 1987. It consists of three levels having 180 steps. The first level consists of the "super-reading system" and users follow 30 steps in training themselves to do speed-reading. The second level consists of "subconsciousness reconstruction system" and users follow 50 steps to rebuild their subconsciousness domain. The third level consists of the "superconsciousness realization system" and users follow 100 steps for practical training aimed at sending their days at a higher level of consciousness. The SRS consists of eight sub-methods called speed-reading, image, memory, meditation, speed-writing, mind and body, health, and education sub-methods. At the first level, mind and body are activated generally by training to accelerate intellectual function. The average reading speed becomes more than 10 times the speed before the training. At the second level, the contents of a wider, deeper and higher range are learned sequentially, and special training is carried out. At the third level, the contents for more than 200 domains are learned and practiced. Some results of training have been reported at 16 past ISLIS symposia. In SRS training there are two groups of exercises to activate the peripheral nervous system. The first group is called limb peripheral training exercises and the second group is called 12 cranial nerves training exercises. In either training, we aim to comprehensively activate the central nervous system through increasing agility and dexterity. The system of the second group consists of 12 steps from the initial stage to the more advanced stage. In the process, it improves distortion (stress) of the mind and body, realizes activation of the nervous system, improves indefinite complaints and sleeping state, brings about an increase in the flexibility of the body and an increase in intellectual function. In this paper, the “Happy Tongue Exercise” is introduced and some effects that are expected for anti - aging, dementia, aspiration, developmental disorder, and nocturnal apnea syndrome.
